Postcard Campaign to End Qualified Immunity
Across the state, our loved ones as being subjected to horrific abuses. This postcard campaign is an opportunity for us to name those horrors and demand that there be transparency, accountability and justice. We are shining a light on the violence and abuse that happens between our loved ones and law enforcement on our streets and  our states' jails and prisons and calling on lawmakers to end qualified immunity, the near total legal shield from civil liability (aka lawsuits) for public officials, especially police and corrections officers. It leaves victims and their families without justice. Ending Qualified Immunity will allow victims of police brutality and other abuses by law enforcement, including their families, to access direct avenues for justice in civil court.
